Panama Canal Panama Canal cruises are offered in the fall, winter and spring only.  We have Panama Canal cruises that depart and return to Fort Lauderdale or Miami roundtrip.  The roundtrip Panama Canal cruises run either 10 or 11 days.  Holland and Princess have run these for many winters but this year NCL is also running roundtrip from South Florida.  We also offer full Panama Canal Cruises that usually depart in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and end in Los Angeles or San Diego.  Most full Panama Canal cruises are 14 days or more.   Some run all winter, but many are re- positioning cruises when we take Miami/Fort Lauderdale ships to the west coast for summer work in Alaska.  These might end in Los Angeles but many of them can go on to Seattle or Vancouver on a one way basis.  These are also mostly run by Holland America, Princess and Celebrity but all cruise lines move ships from South Florida to the west coast to work the summer in Alaska. Repositioning Cruises Cruise ships move around a lot so we see more “repositioning” cruises than you can imagine.  They come to Florida to snowbird in the fall from Europe and Alaska but they go back again in the spring.  Transatlantics tend to have at least a week at sea and don’t make more than 3 or 4 ports of call.  You have to really like cruising as you are in blue water as they call it.  They also follow the seasons to South America and Australia/New Zealand.  South American sometimes depart from both the West Coast and East Coast but the Australia New Zealand usually depart from California and cruise through Hawaii and Tahiti or Fiji.  Cruise lines change home ports for ships which also create opportunities for one-time repositioning cruises. Long Specialty Cruises Many cruise lines like Holland, Cunard and Princess have niche markets in world cruising.  These are sold in their entirety (usually 180 days) but more often, people buy them in segments of 30 to 60 days.  Ask us about Europe without flying (42 days) from Fort Lauderdale.  We also see a 48 day Amazon/Caribbean that is also roundtrip FLL.  How about a 43 day circumnavigation of Australia and New Zealand or a 33 day from California to Hawaii, Tahiti and Marquesas?

Hawaii

Many cruise lines can cruise to Hawaii but only

one major cruise line has an American flagged

vessel that can cruise the Islands… Norwegian.

Many of the other cruise lines offer one way and

round trip from California to fill time between

Alaska and South Florida.  These are pretty

inexpensive but are a partial trans-pacific

cruises that have 3 or 4 sea days each way and

a stop in Ensenada to satisfy the Jones act on

the way home.  We do handle Hawaii cruises

including airfare.

Port Tampa Year round we have a 4 & 5 night Carnival Paradise to the Western Caribbean.  In the winter, we add the Royal Caribbean Brilliance doing 4 & 5 night and the Royal Caribbean Rhapsody doing 7 nights.  We also add the Holland America Oosterdam doing 7 & 14 nights plus the NCL Jade doing 7 night western Caribbean.  We also have 4 sailings of the Carnival Pride. Port Canaveral Port Canaveral is getting more and more cruise ships every year.  We even have the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas sailing from there this year.  In addition, we have Carnival, Norwegian and Disney Cruise Lines.  Most Port Canaveral sailings do 6-8 night Eastern or Western Caribbean or 3 & 4 night Bahamas. South Florida South Florida is comprised of Port of Miami and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.  Every winter about 30 cruise ships pull up to either Port of Miami or Port Everglades.  We do offer 7-14 night Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean cruises.  In addition to the Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Disney we offer from Central Florida, you also add Princess, Celebrity, MSC and many of the luxury brands for selected sailings.  Port Everglades hosts many ships for Princess and Holland America.  Celebrity splits the ships between Port Everglades and Miami and the newest cruise line MSC calls Port of Miami home with its new ship the MSC Divina.  South Florida ships usually pick up one extra port of call and the coveted Southern Caribbean can be reached in as little as 8 nights from these ports. Some run all winter, but many are re-positioning cruises when we take Miami/Fort Lauderdale ships to the west coast for summer work in Alaska.  These might end in Los Angeles but many of them can go on to Seattle or Vancouver on a one way basis.  These are also mostly run by Holland America, Princess and Celebrity but all cruise lines move ships from South Florida to the west coast to work the summer in Alaska.
