Canada is our closest neighbor to the north and a wonderland for travel. 2017 is the 150th Anniversary of Canada and the buying power for Americans has never been better. Eastern Canada is beautiful and much of it is French. Maybe you can’t afford the time of airfare to go to Paris, but you can get away to Quebec which is a couple of hours flight time, for half the cost. Montreal in the east has a vibrancy and you can train your way to Quebec to make a week’s vacation. People love the Maritime regions of Canada all the way out to the Eastern coast of the country. We sell more western Canada than we do eastern Canada. The most popular city in Canada for tourists is Vancouver as it is a transport hub for the Alaska cruise industry and also the Candian Rockies. Vancouver can be the jumping off point for a round trip Alaska cruise. It is also the jumping off point or arrival port for north or southbound Alaska ships. Vancouver to Jasper or Banff (or the reverse) takes you across the Canadian Rockies. Rocky Mountaineer is a deluxe two day crossing of the Canadian Rockies including a night in Kamloops and meals on the train. Once you get into the Canadian Rockies, Banff and Jasper are located in Canadian national parks. You can get a full day tour that will take you out on the “ice cats” or to see Lake Louise or the Banff Gondola.
