This trip was taken October 17 to October 28, 2009 but we were actually on the river seven nights from October 18 until October 25, 2009.

As this was such an extensive and fast paced week, we have chosen to break up the blog by cities that we visited followed by a site inspection report on the ship. We traveled north from Basel (Zurich) Switzerland and ended up in Amsterdam but the trip is also offered in reverse order starting in Amsterdam.
