River Cruising is getting very popular on the European Rivers using flat bottom boats that hold about 150 passengers and sail into the small towns on the Rhine, Danube, Moselle, Rhone, Saone and Maine Rivers. With the completion of the Main-Danube Canal in 2002, you are able to now cross all of Europe in one river cruise trip. This 100 mile long canal is a feat of modern engineering as it crosses the Franconian Alps via 16 locks.
River cruising is also popular on the Yangtze River in China. There are also some river cruises in Russia. We work with all the popular river cruise companies selling all itineraries.
The easiest way to describe a river cruise is through our personal experience. Check out our blog from our 2009 river cruise.
